Born on 7 Nov 1920, Jonquiere, Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean Region, Quebec, Canada;
Son of Narcisse and Carnille Joncas;
Husband of Jeanne Joncas, of Montreal, Province of Quebec;
Laurier enlisted on the 20th of January 1942 in Montréal South.


Laurier served in the 2nd Field Regiment of the RCA and was severely burned (3rd degree burn wounds) all over his face and body when an airplane crashed on his artillery on the 6th of August 1943.
More men were wounded during this crash and they were all rushed to No. 1 Field Dressing Station at Agira by No. 9 Canadian Field Ambulance. Laurier succumbed the next day, 7 August 1943, of his burn wounds. Samen happened to Resther Amirault, Joseph Attis, Frank Downing, Clifford Steeves (8 August) and Leonard Trites. They were all buried at Agira.
Laurier was married to Jeanne Perras of Montréal. His parents also lived in Montréal and it is not known if he had any brothers or sisters.
