Born 3 January 1914, Peterborough, Peterborough County, Ontario, Canada
Son of John Albert and Annie Northey Chase, of Peterboro, Ontario. B.A. (Toronto). Formerly of The Royal Regt. of Canada.
In memory of the members of the 48th Highlanders of Canada who went to war and did not come home.
48th Highlanders Museum, 73 Simcoe St. Toronto, ON M5J 1W9

Earle Chase was killed in action when he was watching through his binoculars at the effectiveness of the field gunners. He just arrived with the Battalion and a German sniper hidden between the rocks killed him instantly. His body tumbled in a ravine and was later recovered by men of his platoon.
