Son of Watson Christopher and Ellen Mason Bain, of Port Arthur, Ontario.

Trooper Clarence Jesse Bain, Royal Canadian Dragoons. Born on the 28th of May 1922 in Port Arthur (ON) and died of wounds on the 5th of December 1943.
Clarence died of wounds received due to a booby trapped magazine gunsight of an Italian gun emplacement. He received severe burn wounds all over his body and was rushed to No. 33 General Hospital which was in Syracuse then. This all happened on the 17th of November 1943 and caused 5 fatal and 17 wounded casualties among the Royal Canadian Dragoons.
Clarence died on the 5th of December and due to the severe nature of his burn wounds which caused pneumonia. He was buried at the civil cemetery in Syracuse and later reburied at Agira.
Clarence lived in Port Arthur with his parents. He had two brothers and four sisters.
