Born: 11 Nov 1915 River Hebert, Cumberland County, Nova Scotia, Canada;
Son of William and Annie Bryant, of Newcastle Bridge, Queen's Co., New Brunswick.

Private Gordon Wilfred Bryant, Carleton and York Regiment. Born on 11 November 1915 in River Hebert, Nova Scotia and killed in action on 2 August 1943.
Gordon served as an acting Lance Corporal most likely in C-Company of the Carletons. They were badly shaken up on 1 August while going cross country from Catenanuova towards Regalbuto. They were in need of some rest. Gordon was reported missing in action and later reported to be killed in action. He was buried in a field grave near La Rosamarina and later reburied at Agira Canadian War Cemetery.
Gordon lived in Newcastle Bridge/Minto, New Brunswick with his parents. He has one brother, Carl, who served in the 3rd Canadian Infantry Division overseas in the Canadian Postal Corps. Gordon enlisted on 22 September 1939 in Minto, New Brunswick and served in the Active Militia from 1938 also with the Carleton and Yorks.
