Born: 7 Nov 1918, Sutcombe, Torridge District, Devon, England;
Son of Francis Brimacombe and of Ada Brimacombe (nee Allin);
husband of Mary C. R. Brimacombe, of Kamsack, Saskatchewan.
Killed by snipers or machine gun fire while passing through Ragusa.

Private Leslie Brimacombe, Loyal Edmonton Regiment. Born on the 7th of November 1918 in Sutcombe, Devon, England and killed in action on the 14th of July 1943.
Leslie was one of the first Loyal Eddies who was killed in action during Operation Husky. He was part of C-Company which had mounted onto Shermans from the Three Rivers Regiment. On their way through Ragusa they came under heavy machine gun fire killing three men of the Loyal Eddies and wounding six. The three killed men were Leslie Brimacombe, Private James Nelson Rasmussen and Private Laurence Robinson.

Leslie was married to Margery Kitchen and together they had two sons, Allan and Gordon. They lived in Kamsack (SK). Leslie's parents and brother also moved to Canada and lived in the Saltcoats (SK) area.
