on 23/05/1944

Charles Leander was my great uncle. Each November 11th, a wreath is laid in his honour (along with his brothers Robert and Clarence) in Stellarton, Nova Scotia. As a child I saw a hand-written note from my great-grandmother indicating what she wanted inscribed on the headstone. It is nice to see a picture of the stone showing that exact inscription.
