Fl/Lt Gosling was a young Canadian ace (9 e/a shot down). His plane, Spitfire Mk VC LZ808 was shot down during an air fighting with german Bf 110 off Riposto on July 19 1943. The plane crashed in Gallodoro (ME) killing the pilot.
