Poppy Cross
ALTHOUGH SEPARATED BY MILES OF SKY AND SEA, YOU WILL FOREVER BE WITH ME.
I MISS NOT GROWING UP WITH YOU DAD. LIFE HAS\'NT BEEN TOO KIND. I ENDED UP IN A CONVENT IN WESTERN AUSTRALIA AFTER YOU DIED. MUM PUT MY NAME DOWN AS A CHILD MIGRANT. I ARRIVED IN GERALDTON IN JANUARY AT THE AGE OF 8.5 YRS. MUM WAS THE ONLY MOTHER OF ALL THE CHILDRED THAT CAME OUT TO AUSTRALIA TO JOIN ME. IT WAS HARD FOR HER TOO AFTER YOU DIED. SHE WORKED IN THE ST JOHN OF GOD HOSPITAL IN GERALDTON. WE HAD TO STAY IN AUSTRALIA FOR 2YEARS BEFORE WE WERE ALLOWED TO RETURN TO MALTA IF WE GOT HOMESICK. MUM WAS MORE HOMESICK THAN ME BECAUSE I WAS TOO YOUNG TO MISS MALTA., ALTHOUGH I MISSED MY AUNTIES AND GRANDPARENTS IN MALTA. I USED TO WONDER THE REASON WE CAME TO THIS WORLD, BUT NOW I KNOW - TO IMPROVE OUR SPIRITUAL SIDES AND EARN LIFE ETERNAL WITH GOD. SUFFERING IS SUPPOSED TO BUILD CHARACTER. AT LEAST WE HAVE THE HOPE OF THE RESURRECTION IN JOHN 5:28 WHEN THOSE IN MEMO RIAL TOMBS WILL HEAR HIS VOICE & COME OUT, EVEN THE SEA WILL GIVE UP THE DEAD IN IT. WAR IS SUCH A DIABOLICAL THING. XXXMUCH LOVE YOUR DAUGHTER EILEEN ALANA MAKUSHALA
