Walterr Downes (Wally) Cock born 17/12/1923 at Tamworth NSW Australia. Lived in Gulgong NSW as a boy then moved to Bondi Beach Sydney in 1938. Worked as an electrtician at Stromberg Carlson Pty Ltd Sydney before enlisting. Enlisted with the RAAF on 31/1/1942. Qualified as Flight Seargent on 11/11/1942. Transferred to 221 (RAF) Squadron on 22/12/1943. Killed on first mission near Malta on 4/1/1944. Other sibliings were: Marjorie (1916-1978), Betty (1918-1979), Morris (1920-1995), Helen (1930), Marion (1932)
