4469377 Lance Cpl Robert Harold Wild served with the 9th Battalion The Durham Light Infantry son of Thomas Temple Wild and Ada Wild, of Acklam, Middlesbrough, Yorkshire. Born in 1920 in Middlesbrough L/Cpl Wild was Killed during the Battle for the Primosole Bridge, Sicily 17th July 1943. Awarded the 1939-45 Star, Africa Star, Italy Star and War Medal.Today he lies at peace in Catania War Cemetery Section 3 Row 3 Grave N°1
