My uncle who I never knew, died in March 1945 on a SAS operation \'Operation Tombola\', operating behind enemy lines in conjunction with Italian partisans and partisans of other nationalities. He was a brave and resourceful man, operating under circumstances of great difficulty. He left a wife and 2 small children and broader family. RIP
